"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star" REVELATION. 22:16

The Bright and Morning Star

How is it possible to follow a star in the East if you are traveling West? The Holy Bible states that the wise men came from the East, and that they followed a star, which went before them in the East.

In order to reach Bethlehem, from the East [ perhaps, from a subcontinent that is located just to the South of the Himalayan Mountain range ] one must travel West. So, it would not be possible for any indigenous wise men to follow a physical star, or planet, seen in the Eastern sky, because it would be behind them.

However, once we understand that the front of the body, and especially the forehead, was at one time called, the 'East' of the human body, it then becomes possible to follow a spiritual star that goes before a person in the 'East' of the body, i.e., the forehead.

Now, in Revelation 22:16, Jesus declares that, He is, "...the bright and morning star." is this merely poetic license? or, is He revealing a Spiritual Truth?

REVELATION 22:16

"16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

It is significant that CHRIST identifies Himself as the Star, because, in deep spiritual states achieved via meditation, a white star can be seen by the devotee in the forehead, ( i.e., the East of the body ). All around the five-pointed, WHITE Star, (that Jesus called, "the bright and morning star" <<-click for diagram of star) is a round circle filled with blue light, and, around that field of BLUE Light, is a ring of GOLD Light. This is the Star of the East { of the body } and, it is also called the "bright and Morning" Star by JESUS CHRIST. Furthermore, JESUS not only identifies Himself with the star, "I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." as already seen in, Revelation 22:16, but JESUS actually promises to give the star to His devotees "...that overcometh,..."

REVELATION 2:26 - 29

"26 And he that overcometh,..."
"28 And I will give him the morning star."
"29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."

However, what is not generally known is that there is a CHRIST center in the human body. In the human body the center for CHRIST is located in the forehead, at the point between and above the eyebrows, a little bit above the origin of the nose, ( i.e., it is in the East of the body ). And, it is this, morning star, in the CHRIST center in the forehead, which can be seen by the devotee in deep spiritual states. JESUS CHRIST also called this center the, "single eye."

ST. LUKE 11:34

"34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light;"

ST. Matthew 6:22

"22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light."

The above two quotes are the correct translation from the original Greek text. They are found in the AKJV, [the Authorized King James Version], of the HOLY BIBLE from, 1611. Please see Book List for more information on the KJV [King James Version] because you need all the details to be sure you have the genuine KJV.

Most of the modern translations of the Bible get this wrong, because, they don't understand the esoteric meaning. The authors of the AKJV probably didn't know the hidden meaning, either; but, as true believers, they were afraid to alter the text. For example, modern translations of the Bible will usually change the singular of; "eye", to, 'eyes,' while some get even further away from the original Greek in their efforts to make the unusual text mean something that they can understand. And, then they get to the Greek word for; "single," ~ which has, on occasion, been given such a truly bizarre makeover, that you feel fortunate if they merely mangle it into a platitude such as; 'good.' Needless to say, the precise and faithful translation, from the Greek is found in the AKJV, which always uses; "eye," and; single, together. There, the Gospel of: ST. LUKE (11:34), and the Gospel of: ST. MATTHEW (6:22), are exactly translated, thereby permitting Jesus to use a vocabulary that He would actually recognize, i.e., the "Single Eye."

According to the Greek Dictionary, in the back of the Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, it is clear that the correct translation from the original Greek text is "single." And, the precision of the vocabulary is highly significant, in that, the word for; "single," and its root, which means; "plait," indicate that more than one element has been combined to make one "single" thing, uniting them with these actions: to twine, or braid, or fold together. According to the Greek Dictionary, in The Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, these are the exact translations for the Greek words: 'single,' [+ its root word, plait], &; 'eye':

"573. [note: see Strongs Concordance for Greek text], haplous, hap-looce ; prob. from 1 (as a particle of union) and the base of 4120; prop. folded together, i.e. single (fig. clear): single. "

"4120. [note: see Strongs Concordance for Greek text], pleko, plek -o; a primary word; to twine or braid: plait."

"3788. [note: see Strongs Concordance for Greek text], ophthalmos, of-thal-mos; from 3700; the eye (lit. or fig.); by impl. vision; fig. envy (from the jealous side-glance): eye, sight."

These definitions are the proof that the Gospel writers knew what they were writing about. ( It is almost as if the writer of St. Matthew's Gospel had received his spiritual education from Jesus Christ, himself! ) Moreover, Matthew has reported that seeing the star in the single eye produced joy in the wise men:

ST. Matthew 2:10

"10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy."

ST. Matthew 2:2

"2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."

Seeing the star ~ HIS star ~ indicates attunement with the Spirit of Christ, and that attunement produces, ~ "exceeding great joy" ~ which, in this case would be amplified by meeting the Christ Child in person. More to the point, it is perfectly logical to expect that the star of Christ ~ "HIS star" ~ would guide the wise men unerringly to the Christ Child in Bethlehem.

The wise men are witnesses who are describing the reality that has guided them to Jerusalem, "we have seen his star in the east, ( i.e., The star belongs to Christ, it is ~ HIS star ~ literally! ). When Jesus Christ states in, REVELATION 22:16, that: "I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." He means that the star is not merely a symbol. The star of Christ literally contains the presence of Christ and the consciousness of Christ, and, the presence and the consciousness of GOD.
[ Please see, ST. JOHN 10:30, "I and my Father are one."] And if a devotee is able to go into the star, then, he or she is entering into the kingdom of Heaven, the kingdom of GOD, which Christ said, "is within you."

Naturally, if the Kingdom of GOD is a spiritual place ~ within ~ then, the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, must be spiritual keys that take one within in other words, it must be a specific meditation technique that will interiorize the consciousness, because, that is the only way to go ~ "within" ~ to the Kingdom of Heaven:

ST. LUKE 17:21 [Jesus said:]

"21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of GOD is within you."

ST. Matthew 16:19 [ Here Jesus is speaking to St. Peter: ]

"19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:..."

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19

"19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of GOD, and ye are not your own?"

ST. MATTHEW 5:48 [Jesus said:]

"48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

[ Note use the keys of the Kingdom of heaven to reach perfection ]

ST. Matthew 16:19

"19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:..."

Peter was given the keys of the kingdom of heaven, however, Jesus was giving His closest disciples special knowledge. Presumably, the keys were eventually lost, either by the Roman persecution of the early church, or, due to priestly secrecy, at some point in the dark ages.

ST. MATTHEW 13:3 - 17 [Jesus said:]

"3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow:..."
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias [Isaiah], which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this peoples heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest [i.e., in case, +/or; for fear that ] at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
"

ST. MARK 4:10 12

10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
11 And he said unto them,
Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of GOD; but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest [i.e., in case, +/or; for fear that ] at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them."

ST. LUKE 8:9 - 10

"9 And his disciples asked him saying, What might this parable be?
10 And he said,
Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of GOD: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand."

From these passages it is evident that Jesus taught His closest disciples things that He kept hidden from the masses. Therefore, if Jesus spake, so that only His closest disciples could both hear, and understand; then, when He said, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:..." to Peter, isnt it likely that Jesus was, conveying some information that was even more important, and hence secret, to His closest disciples? For instance, what gave the closest disciples of Jesus, the power to die daily as St. Paul said in:

1 CORINTHIANS 15:31

"31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily."

If GOD, were to order us to do something such as, using the, "the keys of the kingdom of heaven" in order to reach perfection, then, GOD would be a tyrant and thus could never have our true love. ( Our love is what GOD yeans for most of all, because we are literally GODS own kids!!!) Because true love can only be given by free choice, any coercion would make it a gift of fear, not love, and it is our love freely given that GOD craves most of all. That is the point of existence. And, if we cannot, and do not, learn to love GOD, then, we make GOD, and ourselves, miserable.

ST. MATTHEW 5:48

"48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

ST. Matthew 16:19

"19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:..."

1 CORINTHIANS 15:31

"31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily."

Apparently, therefore, are we to use, "the keys of the kingdom of heaven" to, "Be ye therefore perfect" by our, "rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily."

St. Paul said, ..."I die daily"... code for ecstasy. (The Strongs Concordance says that the words "die", + "daily", are used in the normal sense.) What St. Paul is saying is that his authority is predicated on a spiritual basis, i.e., ecstatic union with GOD. In other words, he is not basing his words on a Doctorate in Theology, but on the direct contact with Christ, that he has, daily. Meaning that, he is not a Sadducee, or a scribe, or a Pharisee with a college degree, so to speak, his authority is NOT even based on his witnessing, and being the subject of the miracle[s] on the road to Damascus, nor, is it predicated upon being accepted by direct disciples of Jesus who live in Jerusalem. Paul is saying ~ in the short hand of that early Christian society ~ that his right to instruct, and correct, comes from his daily contact with Spirit, from his ecstatic union with GOD. In which, soul is united with GOD, and in this state, the body is literally dead, because in that Divine state the human body appears as though dead, but, it is actually in a state of suspended animation, without pulse, or breath.

Moreover, he is stating that he goes into that Divine state, at will, everyday. In other words, Paul's authority is based on the daily, ecstatic contact and union, of his soul with GOD. And in that state of ecstasy the body is literally dead. Evidently, the early church had a number of expressions. Perhaps the unusual terms were a kind of "code" used to escape detection by the authorities of the day. More probably, though, this unique vocabulary was only a shorthand way of referring to Divine states and practices, for those initiates who were the actual Disciples of Christ, as opposed to the ever curious, "madding crowd." For example:

Star in the East; [the bright] and Morning Star; if thine eye be single; die daily; the keys to the kingdom of Heaven; That Elias [Elijah] is come already; Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out; be born again.

Anyway, lest some doubt- sowing, emissary of evil, claim that Jesus didn't actually die on the cross, but merely went into a state of suspended animation ( you can see the atheist argument coming 1000 miles away ) it would be useful to examine some facts:

  • Jesus said He was surrendering His Spirit into the hands of GOD.
  • After He died, a Roman soldier thrust a spear into his side, which, at the least, would have ripped open a lung, and most probably did pierce His heart. (The Romans were well trained at that sort of thing, it is not likely that Christs heart was missed.)
  • [ Note, Please see, p. 102 - 103, of: the Resurrection of the Shroud, by: Mark Antonacci, J.D., for photographic evidence of Pontius Pilate coins on Christ's eyes for dating the Shroud of Turin. ]

If the blood loss from the crown of thorns, the flogging, and the crucifixion weren't enough to kill ~ then being pierced in the lung ( and probably the heart too ) by a Roman lance would have made Christs body dead in the sense that merely "waking up" from a state of suspended animation would not have done any good, because, the body was too badly damaged to go on.
Therefore, ONLY the resurrection could have made the body of Christ a viable instrument to once again be used to interact with His disciples as He did many times after the first Easter.

In Summary
  • The star that the wise men followed to find the baby Jesus, is located in the spiritual, or, "single eye," which is a term used by Christ, himself.
  • The star guided the wise men to Christ on Earth, because it is the star of Christ.
  • Jesus said that if you see the single eye, then your whole body shall be full of light. [i.e., That means, Spiritual Light.]
  • Seeing the star produces great Joy in the beholder from the soul, mind, -- and body -- being blessed by God and Christ.
  • Jesus taught His closest disciples things that were kept secret from the crowds of the curious.
  • Jesus gave His closest disciples secret knowledge and the scientific techniques of attuning their consciousness with Christ using the "keys to the kingdom of Heaven," which helps the true disciple to fulfill the First Commandment. In Mark 12:30, Jesus said:
"30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
  • The secrets that Jesus taught His closest disciples included: seeing the single eye; entering the Kingdom of Heaven -- within -- by using the spiritual keys to the Kingdom of Heaven that He gave to Peter; which resulted in the ecstatic state described by St. Paul as "dying daily," in order to finally become a perfected saint. Jesus said:

St. Matthew 5:48

"48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

Explanation of the 5-pointed star. Single Eye Star

The WHITE Star in the center represents God the Father. The BLUE Light around the Star is representing the Christ. The Ring of Gold Light represents the Holy Ghost. (It is for this reason that the colors: white, blue, and gold, are the Holiest colors of all.) This is what Jesus called the "Single Eye." It is also called: the Star of the East, the Spiritual Eye, and the Third Eye. The Holy Star is always right side up; even in Australia!
