History

I heard that Winston Churchill drew the lines on a map that became the present day Iraq. And, that he regretted having done that. Perhaps he realized that he was forcing people, who didn't get along well, into a box.

The Kurds — for example — want to be able to have their own country that they would call Kurdistan. Also, the two groups of Islam, were forced — by this map Churchill regretted — to live in the same political construct — i.e., Iraq.

Perhaps it is time to undo Churchill's self admitted error, and allow the people of Iraq to vote, about their own boundaries.
